1st Step Technology

Orthotic Core Material

The semi-rigid, vinylplex core is aligned to give the optimal correction and support which includes a clearly defined heel cup. The heel cup takes advantage of the natural tissue cushioning around the calcaneus and contributes to the stabilisation of the foot within a shoe.

Poron Layer and heel

All 1st Step orthotics use poron, an open-cell urethane foam with the highest rating of shock absorbancy, breathability and resistance to compression. This material will not "bottom out" after extensive use. It will maintain its ability to absorb shock throughout the life of the orthotic. This ensures high performance even after months of wear.

Forefoot Split Fist Step Orthotics

Ideal for forefoot correction

Features:

two layers of 1/16" poron
forefoot area is not glued which allows metarsal pads, special padding or accomodative depressions to be added. This ensures proper placement prior to being glued.

Plastazote - ideal for neurovascularly compromised foot

Features:

softer premoulded orthotic
1/8" layer of poron and 1/8" layer of plastazote for maximum shock absorbtion

All shipping costs are shown once you add an item to your shopping cart. Just click on 'Show Cart' or 'Checkout' to see the shipping charge. In most cases this is a flat rate. In some cases a larger amnount is charged for bulky orders. You will see the final shipping charge during checkout BEFORE your details are taken

Delivery Times

Please note that your order will be processed within 24 hours from the first weekday (Mon-Fri). Whilst we endeavour to send your goods quickly, we do not guarantee overnight delivery. If goods are not in stock, you will be advised by either phone or email.

Orders over $100

All orders over $100 are now being shipped by eParcel where a signature will be required for delivery. Please keep this in mind when selecting an appropriate delivery address. A commercial location is preferred, but a residential address is also acceptable if the delivery can be received.

International Shipping

International shipping charges include insurance (unless the country does not offer this service). *Some larger items may have greater shipping charges for international customers. The summary page during checkout will give all totals (before payment).
