GENERAL USE
- To reduce pain and inflammation that accompany traumatic or acute injuries where the skin is intact such as sprains, bruising, strains of ligaments and tendons
- Apply directly after impact injury to reduce bruising
- Apply immediately to injured site either with or after cold compresses (RICE treatment) treatment is applied
- Massage gently onto injury site for fast acting result
- Apply directly onto site bandage and leave to diffuse. Application with no friction allows for passive and slow diffusion of the actives into the injured tissue and produces a cooling effect
- Haematomas
SPECIFIC USE for Practitioners
- All Black 'n Blue is compatible with ultrasound and ultrasound transmission gels. Used in conjunction with ultrasound as a phonophoretic technique on some superficial lesions. It can be applied directly onto the heads of the ultrasound or;
- Frictional or dry techniques (see definition *). Massage All Black 'n Blue gently onto affected area.
- Pain of joints
- Reduce post sport inflammation, pain and stiffness after strenuous exercise.
- Excellent to relax tight and tired muscles before and post manipulative treatment.
* Definition- Transverse Friction Massage is a form of massage in which the therapists applies digital pressure to a specific tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament, scar) and rubs at right angles to the direction of tissue fibres. It is believed that the effect of transverse massage was to break down collagen fibres lying at right angles to the general direction of fibre within muscles, tendons and ligaments. Cross linkage between collagen fibres are also believed to be affected. While this effect may occur and be beneficial frictional massage is believed to induce a controlled trauma to the painful site that initiates a (usually) mild and short lived inflammation reaction. In this state, tissue adaption is accelerated rendering the tissue more responsive to the effects of therapeutic mechanical loading strategies. This may be more of a chemical than mechanical effect.
Indications
The essential extracts penetrate deeply to provide a cool, soothing sensation. Recommended immediately after strenuous exercise. Ideal to use with RICE treatment.
Directions
Apply liberally to affected areas. Massage gently in circular motion. Repeat 2 hourly for the first 24 hours, 4 hourly for the next 3 days. Thereafter repeat as required. Ideal to use with ice treatment.
Ingredients
Deionized Water, Seaweed Colloids, St Johns Wort Oil, Amica Oil, Witch Hazel, Menthol, Clove Oil, Junion, Triethanolamine, Sorbatine Mon Laurate, Bronopol.
Use of Gels
For the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with exercise, arthritis, simple backache, strains, sprains and bruises.
Note: After applying Nemidon Gels All Black n Blue or Eze, you will experience a pleasant cooling sensation. This indicates that Nemidon Gels unique formula is working. We recommend that first-time users start off by using less on affected areas. This allows you to build your own comfort level with the Gel as you may find that you prefer more.
PRE-ACTIVITY - Before Sports/Exercise and Recreation
Whether you are walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, lifting weights, playing golf or playing basketball, massage All Black n Blue or Eze onto muscles and joints 10-30 minutes before activity to warm up. No matter what your workout consist of, applying Nemidon Gel may help to ease your muscles and make your workout more enjoyable.
RECOVERY - After you workout/exercise
Apply Nemidon Gels All Black n Blue or Eze to sore or injured areas immediately after activity and again after showering or bathing. Adhesive strapping can be applied immediately after use.
Use Nemidon Gels All Black n Blue or Eze whenever you suffer from Joint Pain or Stiffness Nemidon Gels All Black n Blue or Eze works quickly for many people to provide temporary relief from annoying joint and muscle pain.
To help relieve sore stiff joints
Apply Nemidon Gels All Black n Blue or Eze up to 3-4 times a day to help painful areas. Keep it by your bedside to use first thing in the morning and before sleep.
Before Jobs Around the House
Apply Nemidon Gels All Black n Blue or Eze to your back, shoulders, hands and knees just prior to working in the yard or cleaning around the house. You'll not only feel better but Nemidon Gels may help to ease stiffness.
On the Job
We recommend keeping a bottle of Nemidon Gels All Black n Blue or Eze at your desk so that you can massage the gel into your hands, neck, back and shoulders before work and on breaks and does not stain clothing. Nemidon Gels All Black n Blue or Eze can help to relieve neck, shoulder and back tension and/or stiffness that results from moderate lifting or working at your desk for sustained periods of time.
Eze
For MASSAGE - to sooth and relax stressed areas
Eze is very fast absorbing and assists treatment of older or chronic injuries. Ideal to use after the acute inflammation has subsided using All Black 'n Blue
GENERAL USE
- Back pain
- Chronic conditions or after 4-5 days of injury
- Relief of cramp, spasms, sore muscles
- Assists relief of Fibrositis, Bursitis
SPECIFIC USE for Practitioners
- Some Practitioners prefer Eze for Dry or frictional techniques (refer definition above).
- Post Sport where ongoing treatment will not be maintained for the immediate 8 hours post injury. Therapists cool Eze in fridge prior to application. Eze is not massaged into skin. A cold bandage is applied. This allows a passive and slow diffusion of the actives into the injured tissue whilst maintaining a cooling effect. The bandage is removed 8 hours - 12 hours later.
NEMIDON HYDRATING GELS
There are two specific Nemidon skin hydration products:
- Ultrahydration Gel: A neutral non smelling Gel
- Footcare: Pleasant smelling gel which contains essential oils which have known benefits for fungal infections.

USE
Where contamination from a scent or smell is not permitted such as:
- The food industry especially with meat and milk products
- Skin conditions with at risk patients - skin conditions prone to allergic reactions, fissures and or ulceration.

- Preventative - for persons who suffer from health conditions that are predisposed to dry skin conditions:

- Conditions requiring long term use of drugs such as used with Parkinson's

- (a) Workers in Freezer units suffer with severe skin problems to hands and feet. In severe cases plastic surgery is required. This condition is due to the dry air not the cold. Workers are encouraged to moisturise hands and feet before starting their shift and as soon as their shift is over with Neutral Ultrahydration gel
- (b) Dry and cracked skin of hands affects those working with water - This ranges from Freezing workers to Hospital, small industrial and food retail, hair salons, paper and timber, farming and dairy industry.
Specific use by Health Professionals
- An emollient is used to maintain the skin's integrity, that is the flexibility and elasticity. This provides the first line of defence from invasion by bacterial and fungi Particularly beneficial around the heel area where the decrease in flexibility may cause dryness and result in fissuring. This may predispose to infection, ulceration and more serious complications.
- Prior to paring - Massage with a hydrating gel to moisturise and soften skin
- Massage post treatments to legs and feet. The product usually preferred is Footcare as it has a pleasant smell.
- Diabetics and drug related dry skin conditions
- By maintaining flexibility and elasticity of skin
- Assists to prevent fissures and ulceration of skin
