Using the Energy Pointer for fat loss or fitness improvement. The Energy Pointer feature determines fat and fitness zones based on personal user characteristics such as age, gender, height, weight ,HR max. It is designed to assist in determining the intensity of training that suits your individual goals.
When keeping in the FAT zone, the main benefit of the exercise is fat metabolism. In the FIT zone, improved cardio fitness is the goal.
The FAT/FIT limit is based on heart rate and it's variability during exercise.
In the FAT zone, the intensity where fat oxidation is at a maximum has special importance for weight management programs and endurance training. In the FIT zone, moderate to high intensity training increases metabolism, particularly carbohydrate oxidation. High intensity training is needed for optimal fitness development as temporary overload is necessary.
In the lower section of the wrist unit display is the Energy pointer line. The position of the heart symbol on this line indicates whether training is occurring in the FAT or FIT zone at any given time, this is a great benefit for your clients as no calculations need to be made.
