Ultraphonic Gel
- Stabilized formula stays in place
- Non-thinning, non-leaking, non-staining
- Other products qucikly break down from perspiration and body heat
- Aqueous, electrically conductive
ULTRA/PHONIC Conductivity Gels are proven safe for gel warmers. They are also the most economical and convenient ultrasound coupling gels. Our stabilized fomulas resist liquefying from body heat and salts in perspiration, remaining uniform throughout the procedure. Less is required, and clean up is minimised.
Please try the following comparitive tests. They will prove to youi the superiority, economy and greater convenience you will realise when you use ULTRA/PHONIC gels.
A. Apply a dab of any other ultrasound gel to the index finger of your left hand, and a similar quantity of ULTRA/PHONIC gel to the index finger of your right hand. Brand X quickly liquifies from the normal traces of perspiration (salts) on the skin, allowing fingerprints to meet, creating a rough sensation. ULTRA/PHONIC Conductivity Gels are unchanged, remaining thick, conductive and lubricating.
B. Visualise what was felt in the above test. Squeeze a wide, long ribbon (approx 3") of each of the gels on a sheet of paper. Lightly sprinkle both gels with common table salt. Very quickly Brand X will liquefy. Stabilised ULTRA/PHONIC Gel resists liquefying. The high salt concentration used in this test as compared to the salt concentration in persperation utilises a principle of chemistry(the higher concentration, the faster the reaction). This allows you to see in seconds what occurs during an ultrasound procedure using any other ultrasound gel.
Note: For objective comparison, please compare gels of similar viscosities.High Viscosity (thick, hard) ULTRA/PHONIC Conductivity Gel
Low viscosity (thin, soft) Ultra/Phonic SG Scanning Gel
