Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is condition characterised by pain and numbing or tingling sensations in the hand. It is caused by pressure on the main nerve that runs through the wrist. Symptoms include numbness, pins and needles, and pain (particularly at night), and is associated with repetitive motion, as in typing or playing a musical instrument.

The majority of the wrist braces have a removable palmar spoon, which limits the downwards movement of the wrist (flexion). The upwards movement (extension) is also limited by a tight fitting support across the top of the hand. Some braces also feature a dorsal spoon to provide greater control over this upwards movement.
